COMPULSORY BASIC TRAINING  (CBT) NORFOLK

Compulsory Basic Training is the starting point for most riders. At 16 you can take it on a 49cc automatic (twist and go) moped. At 17 and above you can do it on a 125cc, either automatic or manual (geared) bike.

Fantastic training for my CBT. Andy is an extremely knowledgeable and patient instructor, but at the same time, will push you when needed. Despite having never sat on a bike before and not knowing what to expect, Andy’s calm and friendly demeanour quickly put me at ease. If I decide to further my riding capabilities and go for Direct Access, I certainly will not hesitate in contacting Anglia Training Services. Thank you, Andy!

If you have done your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) before or already understand about the course just go straight to Contact Page to book and fill in the form so that we can offer you the best course to suit you.

If you haven’t done a CBT before and need to understand the rules, please read through the CBT INFORMATION which tells you all you need to know about the course.

To decide which is the best course for you and find out what to expect on the day read either,

CBT NOVICE MANUAL if you have never ridden before and want to ride a manual bike you need time and space to gain your confidence. This special CBT day for novices is normally for manual bikes but if you are feeling particularly nervous about starting on an automatic bike, this could be the course for you.

Or

CBT EXPERIENCED MANUAL, OR AUTOMATIC MOPED, NOVICE OR EXPERIENCED For pupils who have ridden a manual bike and are confident using clutch and gears. Or on an automatic Twist and Go) either as a novice, or already have experience.
